Here you will be met  by our driver guide and  transferred to  hotel Zum Kaizer or any other similar hotel, your place of accommodation. Swakopmund was established in 1892 and is a quaint, picturesque seaside town with a rich history. The late afternoon is spent relaxing after the day’s traveling.

Included: Dinner.

DAY 2: SWAKOPMUND

Your excursion today is tide and weather dependent. From Swakopmund we’ll make our way to Walvis Bay along the coastal road, passing the salt production plant at Walvis Bay and then heading out into the vast Namib dune sea. Finally, the sandy 4×4 track reaches the coast as we continue southwards along the beach en-route to Sandwich Harbour, about 60km (37 miles) from Walvis Bay. Alternatively, if the swells are too high or if the weather is generally poor and the track along the coast is considered unsafe, we’ll view Sandwich Harbour from the top of the surrounding high dunes. Sandwich Harbour – a saltwater lagoon, is designated a ‘Wetland of International Importance’ and some 40 000 birds – 34 different species in total, were recorded in the area during recent surveys. Take a leisurely walk around the lagoon, an official marine sanctuary, and you might also see seals, dolphins and even whales. A lunch stop is included before returning to Swakopmund during the late afternoon.

Included: Breakfast, and Dinner, Entrance Fee and Activity

DAY 3: SWAKOPMUND – SOSSUSVLEI

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Swakopmund airstrip for a charter flight to Sossusvlei. Experience the haunting beauty of the Namib Desert at Sossusvlei Desert Lodge or similar lodge, situated in the foothills of the private NamibRand Nature Reserve. The Namib – known as ‘the living desert’ – is a world of vast open spaces, endless horizons, dramatic desert landscapes and jagged mountain heights. Led by Sossusvlei’s expert rangers and naturalists, the afternoon is devoted to exploring the desert landscape in open 4×4 vehicles.

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Activities

DAY 4: SOSSUSVLEI

The morning is devoted to an excursion into the famous Sossusvlei dunes – amongst the highest in the world. The name ‘Sossusvlei’ applies to an area that encompasses the great plain of the Tsauchab River, along with the red dunes that appear to be marching along like giant sentinels to the south and north of the plain. After our desert excursion, we travel on to Sesriem Canyon. The canyon begins as an almost imperceptible but nevertheless deep cleft in level, stony ground and then widens until it finally flattens out onto the plain. Because it is so deep and sheltered, it often holds water well into the dry season – an invigorating sight in such a barren and stark environment. During the afternoon, we return to the lodge and after some time for relaxation, you may opt to explore the area on quad bikes (four-wheelers).

Activities: Dead Vlei, Dune 45, Sesriem Canyon Hike, Sossusvlei

Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Park Fees and Activities

DAY 5: Sossusvlei- Windhoek

After an early breakfast and checking out of our lodge in the desert, it will be followed by a charter flight to Windhoek and transferred to any location of your choice within Windhoek, or hop onto homebound flight  with fond  Memories of an unforgettable Namibian safari of a lifetime.
